The following courses culminate in the
Module 1 test. The Module 2 test can then be taken with a
further 1/2 day training.
The Module 1 test consists of the
specified manoeuvres carried out at the test centre. The
module 2 test is the practical road ride. Module 1 must be
passed before taking module 2.
Both Modules must be taken on
the same category motorcycle.
3 Day Course: Suitable for novices who wish to take the standard motorcycle test or more experienced riders wishing to take Direct Access.
4 Day Course: Suitable for novices wishing to take Direct Access
Half-Day sessions are available as
individual lessons or as a package
Module 2: 1/2day = £100
Standard Motorcycle A2 Licence This is the standard motorcycle licence and the test is taken on a 125cc machine (capable of at least 62.5 mph). Training and tests are carried out on our
CG125 bikes.
Passing the A2 practical test means that the rider will have a full motorcycle licence, can take the L plates off, carry passengers and ride on motorways. The rider will however be restricted for 2 years to a machine of not more than 33bhp. This is about the power of an unrestricted 250cc machine. Larger capacity machines can be used, but their power must be restricted to less than 33bhp.
After 2 years, the restriction is removed and the rider can use any machine!
Direct Access
This course will give you a licence to ride any machine immediately and is available to anyone over the age of 21. Training and tests are carried out on our
fleet of Honda CB600 ABS Hornets.
All courses are operated on a maximum 2:1 pupil instructor ratio. Courses must be pre-booked, the test is usually held in the
morning on the last day of training. Each day starts at 9.00am and finishes at around 4.30pm. Our course prices are
fully inclusive of bike hire, insurance, petrol and clothing hire (jacket, trousers, helmet, gloves and boots). If required it is possible for CG125 bikes to be hired out for extra practice before taking your test, at a rate of £25.00 daily plus insurance. For those who do not pass their test after a four day course, extra daily training and tests are available.
All courses require a £200.00 deposit at time of booking which is non-refundable if cancellation is not received 3 weeks prior to the start date. Please check that you have provisional motorcycle entitlement on your licence before booking a course.
